For our Netherlands Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO), we provided a training consisting of Module 12 of the Basic Training aircraft maintenance, which lasted a week. The goal was to train B1.1 engineers (fixed-wing aircraft maintenance mechanics) additional as B1.3 engineers, who are able to work on helicopters. The training emphasized subjects as helicopter aerodynamics, structures and systems. Our new instructor Jaap van Keulen and Arnold Merkx provided the lessons succesfully. As part of the training an exam takes place on September 29th. After obtaining this module the mechanics are qualified to sign for their maintenance work.
