Maddy Traets
HR Officer Fokker Elmo
"During 2010, the WCAA proposed to meet because we work in the same field of knowledge. This introduction to each other was very nice. Especially the open and relaxed atmosphere made sure that our interest was piqued. Fokker Elmo puts increasing emphasis on knowledge and personal development programs."
In the aviation industry accidents happen relatively little. If any accidents occur, human factors are often a large part of the cause. Maddy continues: "Awareness of quality and therefore of human actions, is of great importance in our work. This makes sure we need continuous training on this subject. The way the WCAA dealt with this total demand was quite innovative. I felt that the WCAA was not just offering their available products, instead we worked together in setting up a new total training concept. With the enthusiasm and confidence of director Peter Huis in 't Veld himself, our partnership is a full-fledged cooperation which is based on trust, commitment and above all custom-made quality. We communicate quick and easy and always with respect and personal interest. Meanwhile, we already take part in five training programmes provided by the WCAA."
Major Danilo Sanchez Pizarro
General Administrator F-16, Chilean Airforce (FACh)
"I stayed at the World Class Aviation Academy for three months, starting on April 20th and ending on July 19th 2010. It was my responsibility that the courseware of the F16 typetraining was provided accordingly. I also attended the maintenance Officers course, which lasted five weeks. Other courses in this program for our Chilean students were Line maintenance for the Crew Chief, Systems Maintenance, Avionics, Engine Mechanics, Weapons Technician, Egress specialist and Flight Safety specialist. I also attended the Technical English lessons that were provided by the WCAA.
The experience at the WCAA was very rewarding. These courses were provided in a professional way. The students obtained positive results, thanks to the capacities of the skilled staff and the experience of the Dutch instructors. Also the WCAA was able to establish the infrastructure needed to achieve the goals initially set. I feel comfortable that our maintainers can do the job when they return to the operation squadron."
